ISA-88 is a series of standards for batch process control. It provides common models and terminology for equipment, recipes and procedures, helping teams design and describe batch operations consistently across systems and sites. A recipe defines what to make and how the process should proceed, while the equipment model describes where and with what it can run. Applying ISA-88 still requires site-specific engineering, procedures and controls.
