5S is a workplace organization method commonly described as Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. It helps teams remove unneeded items, arrange tools and materials, maintain the work area and establish routines. 5S is not only a housekeeping exercise: its purpose is to make normal conditions visible and support safer, more reliable work.
