Solution architecture and functionality

Is Accevo Smart Factory a single system or a suite of solutions?

Accevo Smart Factory is a general name for the entire Accevo software ecosystem. Accevo Smart Factory consists of suites of functionalities and facultative addons which are tailored to customers’ needs and requirements. Regardless of the customer’s custom configuration, the goal is to create your factory Modern and Smart!

Yes. Customers can begin with a single module, such as OEE, Paperless or MES, and add further capabilities when needed. The modules operate on a shared platform and data model, so the system can grow without replacing the existing implementation or migrating data between separate applications.

Accevo supplies an 80% ready-to-work system. 20% is customizable to the customer’s case.

Yes, our experts are ready to share their experience and knowledge. Since 2006 we’ve been developing best practices to help solve industrial problems out.

Infrastructure, deployment and hardware

Can Accevo software be deployed on-premises or in the cloud?

Accevo solutions provides our customers with the platform in a private, public, or hybrid cloud architecture. Legacy on-premises solutions are also available if the project demands domestic infrastructure due to its specification.

Yes, Accevo’s team proposes the most suitable hardware for the given project. We provide comprehensive implementation: we configure, deliver and install all necessary wiring and devices along with our software.

Our dedicated team is ready to connect with old and new machines on the production line. If PLC drivers are not available, we can duplicate existing signals or add sensors a get digital outputs.

The operator uses an access RFID card or pin pad to enter the system on the shop floor.

No. Accevo is not tied to a fixed number of users or devices. Access can be provided to operators, maintenance teams, production managers and other authorised employees. Roles and permissions determine which information and functions each user can access. The pricing does not depend on number of users.

Integrations and existing systems

Can Accevo integrate with our ERP system, including SAP or IFS?

Yes. Accevo integrates with ERP and enterprise systems such as SAP, IFS, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics. Depending on the available infrastructure, data can be exchanged through APIs, web services, database connections, flat files or dedicated connectors. The integration can cover production orders, material data, quantities, quality results and order confirmations.

Yes, Accevo is capable of making customs implementation across various enterprise systems available on the market.

There is no need to replace the existing CMMS. Accevo OEE can be implemented as a standalone solution and integrated with the current maintenance system. Machine status, downtime events and maintenance information can be exchanged between the systems, subject to the integration options supported by the existing CMMS.

Implementation process

What are the first steps in implementing Accevo MES?

In order to start the digitalization journey, Accevo experts have to visit your factory, perform a production health check to discuss business goals and create a solution concept. The whole journey starts with an initial online meeting where we discuss the system, current situation, and the next steps.

A standard Accevo implementation can go live within 6–8 weeks. The exact timeline depends on the project scope, number of production lines, machine connectivity and required integrations. More extensive MES or MOM roll-outs may be delivered in stages over a longer period.

Accevo uses a proven platform with ready-made baseline functionality, standard production models and pre-built connectors. Instead of developing the entire system from scratch, we configure the platform around the customer’s processes and only adapt the elements that are specific to the factory. This shortens analysis, development and testing.

Accevo’s implementation team visits your factory to implement the solution and ensure that all standards are met, and settings are set up correctly prior to system startup.

Yes, dedicated PM is responsible for the proper course of the project, in the context of delivering the agreed functionalities, monitoring the schedule and costs, and responding to situations arising during implementation.

Yes, in some cases it may be considered to start with the pilot implementation, which helps the client to get some experience and knowledge about Accevo Factory System capabilities.

Yes, if the project covers high number of production lines or workcenters or it includes many functionalities (i.e. MES, APS, EMS…) the implementation may be divided in phases.

Support and international roll-out

What support does Accevo provide during the project and after go-live?

Accevo provides a Jefe de proyecto/customer success manager who will help your company prior to and after roll-out by prioritizing issues, controlling tasks, and streamlining the communication between companies.  Our experts train you on how to use your system to optimizar production. We coach and consult to guide you with the best practices from other industries.

Yes, we offer a post installation service with three levels of Service Level Agreement. The service is tailored based on the required response time and availability (for example, 24/7 or 8/5).

Yes, our clients are localized globally across the globe. We provide the necessary support to all facilities.
