Discrete Manufacturing Software
Accevo supports discrete manufacturers that build individual products and assemblies with variants, serial numbers, and multi-step routings.
Connect manual and automated stations into one production record
Most discrete plants mix manual work, semi-automated stations and automated cells – built to order, in variants, with serial numbers and multi-step routings.
Each station captures data its own way. Accevo brings it together – automatic events from connected machines, confirmations and scans from manual stations – into one record for the whole route.
One source of truth for multi-step discrete production
One record per order and routing keeps WIP, genealogy and machine performance consistent from the first operation to dispatch.
Whether an operation runs on a robot cell or a manual bench, it writes to the same record – so the history holds together no matter which station captured it.
A quality team can trace any unit back to its materials, tools and settings in minutes. Planners and managers see live order progress instead of an end-of-shift guess.
Everything a discrete team needs to run and improve production sits in that one record.
- Visibility of WIP and order progress across multiple workstations
- Serialisation and genealogy - what happened, where, when, by whom, with which materials and tools
- Quality gates, inspections and controlled rework loops
- Consistent operator execution - work instructions, step checks, confirmations
- Real-time machine and line performance - availability, speed losses, micro-stops, scrap
- Faster changeovers and better sequencing without losing traceability
- Integration with ERP / PLM / WMS so master data and production results stay consistent
Run the whole discrete operation from a single platform
Real-time production execution (MES/MOM)
Traceability designed for serialised products
- serial / lot identifiers
- operator and workstation
- machine parameters and key signals (where connected)
- used components and materials
- quality results and rework decisions
Quality inspections and SPC
Performance monitoring (OEE and micro-stops)
Production planning and re-planning (APS)
Maintenance execution (CMMS)
Data foundation and integration
Work instructions and digital SOPs at every station
Every variant has its own sequence. Accevo puts it on the workstation screen step by step, so operators build each one right – even on a product they’ve never run before.
Steps can require scans, confirmations and data capture – torque, measurements, test results – all recorded against the order, serial/lot, station and operator. Missed steps stop and every build leaves a full audit trail.
Example from an automotive traceability implementation
In one discrete automotive project (LPG tank manufacturing), the solution combined machine connectivity, PLC and robot integrations, operator panels with barcode scanning, quality gates, automated testing stations and real-time OEE reporting. The result:
95%
Reduction in dispatching tanks with errors
+15min
Machine availability gained per shift
15%
Quicker IATF audits
2000+
Increase in quarterly production volume
RECARO Aircraft Seating: paper gone from the assembly line
RECARO Aircraft Seating assembles aircraft seats in Schwäbisch Hall, under strict regulation – every build generated thousands of pages of documentation that had to be scanned and stored.
With Accevo Paperless, the assembly line runs without physical documents. Operators open the technical drawings and instructions they need for each seat right at the station, and reports are generated digitally.
It gave RECARO fast access to factory and production data, digitised assembly reports available on any device, better data quality through automation, and clear traceability of who signed off each order.
